Hi again, a month later. ;)
Here are some pen and ink Inuit studies. I just bought some nibs and have been playing around with ink old school style, along with having fun with washes and dry brushing. Twas fun so i think I will be doing it more. Anyway I hope you enjoy the sketches, and hopefully more to come sooner than later. :)

Cheetahs and a Lion

Hi everyone!! long time no post. :/
Just wanted to share a few cat sketches. The lion sketch I gave to my number one fan Aiden, yep! he's my adorable nephew that I had the pleasure to draw with when I visted my family a few weeks ago. He is 5 years old and super into animals, mainly big cats and wolves. Well, I promised I would draw some cheetahs for him, so I have and will be sending off these sketches along with a few other goodies that will hopefully inspire him to draw often. :D Shhh!! Trisha don't show him this post, I want him to be surprised! :)

And here is a drawing Aiden and I had fun with,:) The top lion was me showing him simple shapes and his is the bottom copying and learning. I would say his lion is so expressive, I love it!

A few owls I have painted with acrylic gouache in a little sketchbook. Trying to do a bird a day.:) These I felt were the more successful ones out of six. I hope you enjoy!

Lions at the Zoo

I took a trip to the Zoo yesterday, mainly to take photos of the residents. :) I came across the lions, soooo gorgeous! The male lion was a bit far away, though my camera is ok for that distance. Anyway, he was getting pretty agitated with me and started spraying on everything, haha. At one point he came up super close to the viewing glass looked at everyone, (what a huge head!) turned around and sprayed the window! It was pretty gross, but I got to say seeing him that close up, you get a sense on how strong and massive they are, really beautiful to see.

Yes Dogs. I'm going to fill this sketchbook full of them and all types. I have started with wolves since all breeds are originated from the wolf, beautiful ey! didn't believe it, but it's true! Anyhow I hope you enjoy my first attempts on learning the physique of les canines!

Heads and Raccoons!

So I'm a magnet for raccoons, scary I know! but really they aren't as bad as they seem, just a little sneaky and opportunistic. ;) One night I left my sliding glass door open for my cat to go in and out as he pleases, and in doing that a raccoon got a whiff of the cat food in my kitchen, and decided like a raccoon does to venture inside and seize the moment! Upon returning home, I find all the cat food eaten, the water bowl all dirty and little raccoon prints everywhere! Whoa, I feel sorta violated! So hey I have an idea, lets put this sketch book that I never use as a barrier for the raccoons and teach Fluff to jump over it, Fluffs my cat by the way. :) Anyway, so this plan didn't work and the results of my attempt to deter the raccoon created this cute little print that will forever be on my sketchbook, and so I decided to draw in it. :)
